Negroni

An Icon of Italian Elegance
The Negroni is the very definition of sophisticated simplicity. With its striking ruby hue and perfectly balanced bitter-sweet profile, this legendary cocktail captures the essence of Italian aperitivo culture. Aromatic gin mingles with bold Campari and a duo of complex vermouths, creating a drink that is smooth, syrupy, and seductively layered. Its allure lies in its ability to be both invigorating and luxuriously mellow, making it an ideal pre-dinner companion or a stylish evening sipper.

A Storied History from Florence
Born in Florence in 1919, the Negroni owes its name and fame to Count Camillo Negroni. Legend has it that he asked a bartender to fortify his usual Americano cocktail by replacing the soda water with gin. The result was a spirited twist that became an instant classic. Over a century later, this cocktail still carries the elegance of its Florentine origin, embodying a timeless ritual of Italian hospitality and culture. Every sip is a tribute to the boldness of the count and the art of aperitivo.

it from becoming cloying.

The Art of Balance
What sets a great Negroni apart is the harmony of its elements. Crisp London dry gin provides the foundation, while Campari delivers its signature bitter-orange bite. The marriage of two vermouths—one French with delicate spice and one Italian with rich, raisin-like depth—adds a silky sweetness that rounds out the drink. Stirred gently over ice, the result is a crystal-clear elixir that glows like a Venetian sunset and tastes of refined sophistication.
